MCE DISTRIBUTES 10,000 POULTRY BIRDS TO FARMERS UNDER NKOKO NKITINKITI PROGRAMME

The Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Raymond Nana Ebbah (MCE) of the Wassa Amenfi East Municipal Assembly has today, 19th August, 2026 distributed 10,000 poultry birds to poultry farmers across the Municipality under the Government’s Nkoko Nkitinkiti Programme.
The initiative is aimed at supporting local poultry production, improving the livelihoods of farmers, creating employment opportunities, and contributing to food security within the Municipality.
Speaking at the distribution ceremony, the MCE said the programme forms part of the government’s commitment to transforming the agricultural sector and enhancing food security. He urged beneficiaries to properly care for the birds and use the intervention to expand their poultry farms.
Beneficiary farmers expressed gratitude to the government and the MCE for the intervention, describing the intervention as timely and beneficial.
The Assembly reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the agricultural sector as a key driver of economic growth and livelihood development in Wassa Amenfi East.
